I love you, Peter’s great creation,
I love your view of stern and grace,
The Neva wave’s regal procession,
The grayish granite – her bank’s dress . . .
Alexander Pushkin, 1833
You can fall in love with Saint-Petersburg. Having come to this city once you want to come back here again and again.

You’re making me jealous Victor.
These photographs are a reminder that I had the chance to go to Russia twice and didn’t. Aaah! However, one of my travel goals is to take the train from Berlin to Moscow and pop over to Saint-Petersburg for a few days. Here’s to hoping! 😀
p.s. Happy New Year Victor!

Hi Victoria. Thank you.
This is a decent goal.
Moreover, Russia is exclusively comfortable for visiting nowadays, there are no restrictions inside the country.

Hi Victor,
Very good to know.
Right now, we’re not allowed to travel to Russia, but as soon as we’re able, I’ll be on the train in a shot! 😀

Beautiful pictures. St. Petersburg is impressive. I was lucky to be the first group in the Hermitage, that morning in 2018.
An invitation to see more of Russia.

I hope you will do it. St. Petersburg is worth of visiting. It’s number one city in Russia despite the fact it is not the capital anymore.

You have done a daring thing, my friend. Although you enlisted your great poet to assist you.
And, to accompany his words, your excellent photographs.
Yes. I look forward to seeing the Neva wave’s regal procession.

I’ve always been intrigued by Saint Petersburg for its rich history and great architecture. Luckily now Indonesians can apply for e-visa to go to Russia, although for that trip to happen I might need to wait a little longer (at least until the pandemic is pretty much under control).

You don’t need to wait. Now is the best time for visiting museums. “Pandemic” restrictions are minimal in Russia, just wear you mask in a museum or transport. Museums are empty, no lines, no crowds, tickets are awailable always…

Hmmm, very tempting. We’ll see about that. It’s the restrictions when I return to Indonesia I’m more worried about.
